{Recipe} Hot spiced Apple Smoothie

{Recipe} Hot spiced Apple Smoothie

Ayurveda teaches us to live with the seasons and in autumn and winter to have warm cooked meals, fruit can be hard to digest depending on your body type and may cause gas, bloating and discomfort.

Cooking your fruit with spices is a great way to aid digestion and get nourishment with a sweet kick.

I thought I would share a recipe for the breakfast I created last Autumn.

I’m not good at measuring but here we go.

Ingredients for 2-3 people (1.5 liters)

  • 2-4 apples
Big pinch of raisins and optional dates.
    1-2 cloves
2x slices of ginger or according to your taste
Cinnamon to your taste ( I use 2-3 teaspoons)

Optional ;banana, cardamom, beetroot.

Put ingredients in pot and cover with boiled water, (add cinnamon powder at a later stage) cook untill soft.

Add some water to your blender (I used 400ml) and add all the ingredients from your pot & cinnamon.

Blend and sprinkle more cinnamon ontop if you like it.

take to work in a thermos for a healthy warm snack.

Wella! Hot Apple smoothie! Yum yum, Enjoy!
